P11 – Bulk material shovel (SGS)

The forklift was not developed for shoveling, but is often used as a substitute for shoveling materials such as grain, fertilizer, potato, sand, etc.
Note: If possible, select the shovel width to be greater than the forklift width to allow the wheels to be cleared during shoveling. In order to allow the bulk material shovels to be changed quickly, they can be provided with a lower flap cam. For agricultural uses, the back plate and side cheeks are pulled slightly higher so that the cylinders are protected from e.g. chemically aggressive materials. In order to be able to feed rotary fertilizer spreaders effectively, a shovel width of 1200 or 1300 mm is recommended. For the uptake of goods with a specific weight of up to max. 3,000 kg/m³, the reinforced version has larger cylinders and greater plate thickness.
