P22 – Carrying boom (TD)

Hollow objects such as steel or wire coils, pipes etc. can be transported with carrying booms. For weight reasons, a thick-walled pipe is generally used; for smaller internal diameters, solid material can also be used.

Special design: Protection using a polyurethane element or aluminum cap. Special versions available corresponding to a quadruple boom. The outer booms are hydraulically positioned, and rigid inside. Device used in conjunction with a shaft-guided sideshift.

Carpet boom

With only a small diameter, the carpet boom must nevertheless have a high load-bearing capacity. For this reason a material with the quality of 42CrMo4 or 30CrNiMo8 is used. To facilitate a quick change of the booms, they can also be fitted with a lower flap cam.

Our recommendation:

for roll lengths 4000 mm - boom length 3000 mm
for roll lengths 5000 mm - boom length 3500 mm.

With higher load-bearing capacities the back plate is provided with cutouts to ensure maximum visibility of the end of the boom.
For long carrying boom lengths, the respective load-bearing capacity must be compared with the residual load capacity of the forklift; if necessary, the next larger model will have to be selected.
